Ra created the laws by which people should live. And for a while they really followed them. Since Ra was in human form, he began to age. When he grew old, people ceased to be afraid of him and began to violate his commandments. Ra was angry because of this and called all the gods. He asked them for advice.
Nun advised to send Sekhmet, the goddess of war and the scorching sun, to punish humanity. Sekhmet went wild. After several days of bloodshed, Ra felt sorry for humanity; he decided to stop Sekhmet. He asked her to stop, but Sekhmet refused. She was too strong to be stopped. Ra had only one hope: to find a way to deceive her. When the goddess of war again began to kill, she did not find anyone. In front of her was only the earth, completely flooded with a red liquid that looked like blood. She began to drink it. In fact, it was wine tinted with pomegranate.
